Roberts Creek Travel Guide
Welcome to Roberts Creek!
Found on the lower Sunshine coast on the Strait of Georgia between Gibsons and Sechelt, Roberts Creek is home to beaches with beautiful sunsets and peaceful natural forests with ample greenery, making nature the main attraction. While winter is ideal for spotting whales, seals and ducks, a greater variety of animals can be seen in the spring and summer months. Sightseeing tours offer a glimpse of harlequin ducks, goldeneyes and bald eagles found in the area, as well as river otters and sea stars native to the summer beaches. For those willing to explore on their own, challenging trails are open for hiking and biking, with rewarding panoramic views of the landscape. In the warmer months, kayakers and divers frequent the surrounding waters. Less adventurous but more relaxed, golf courses are open to the public. Roberts Creek Provincial Park contains campsites, areas for picnicking and a beach open to swimmers. A lively community embracing artwork, Roberts Creek has galleries featuring local work, and many artists’ open their home studios to the public. In early August, the annual Creek Daze festival is held, complete with a craft fair and a parade.
